A king or president is handed a rope, and as soon as he takes hold of it he feels lighter. He’s so happy! Everyone can see the lightness, in fact it almost looks as if his feet aren’t touching the ground, and that’s actually the case: he’s floating! And over time nobody notices or thinks anything of it. But one day he starts floating up a little higher and by the end of that week he’s so high that he can’t make himself heard to the people below. So they leave him to it. In fact they forget about him entirely. But you can’t live very long, floating in space above the Earth, and one day the king’s body comes crashing down, leaving a terrible mess.
