Tom Hodgkinson in The Idler1 has started the new year by cancelling various digital subscriptions.
To replace them, he bought himself a DVD player for a few quid.
He’s also been given a beautiful paper Smythson’s Diary to replace the irritating Apple calendar.
I learned all this in Tom’s latest Idler newsletter. At the end of the newsletter, Tom asked readers for suggestions about other ways to get rid of digital stuff and replace it with analogue.
