I had a lot of big ideas, earlier this week, about what I might submit to the upcoming exhibition at the Mall Gallery. Too ambitious! I just couldn’t possibly get it all done in time for the deadline.

So I thought I would post a quick update about the six pictures that I did, in fact, submit. It will be good to see later which, if any, is chosen.
I should add that I decided against including any portraits because there’s another gallery show I can submit those to – in early Feb, very soon!

Still very keen to work on the idea for a book of Portraits of the Artist in a _____, and the 12 Bird Fellowship, but I’ll post more about those another time.
Update 16 January 2026: On behalf of the Royal Society of British Artists, thank you for submitting your work to the RBA Annual Exhibition 2026.
The number of entries and quality of work was exceptionally high this year and we are sorry that on this occasion your work has not been selected for exhibition.
