After slaving away at the cooker (or whatever), I used to like sitting opposite N. while she ate her breakfast. Sometimes I drew pictures, including pictures of N. eating breakfast.
Other times, I might take a photo.
One day I took a photo of her eating breakfast in the cat outfit she loved. And I just happen to have stumbled upon that photo now, several years later.
I decided to draw it with the new inks I was given for my birthday. These inks here:
I started by drawing her outline with any old pen – a Pilot V-tech pen that is not waterproof. I quite like the way the lines went all wobbly as my paintbrush hit them.
The inks are really beautiful. From Japan, apparently. Like I said, I was given them for my birthday.
