Painstakingly Human | Episode 4 (of 3)

Greetings. This is (unplanned) part four, of three.

I told you some days ago that I’d been doing lots of painstakingly human outreach to people who don’t even know me.

To be perfectly honest, I worried a little. You might think I’m bonkers and this can never work. And how could I prove it’s effective or worthwhile when I am still in the middle of doing that outreach?

Well, I can’t prove anything but I thought I would give you this update.

The learning and development woman at one law firm, whom I think I told you I saw recently, was just now in touch to ask about sessions and prices:

We’re looking to run a session with some selected Partners initially to help them with their presentation skills so they are more effective. The idea is to see how this first one lands and then, if it all goes well, roll out more widely to the rest of the Partnership and then so on.

Also: I heard this afternoon from one of the other L&D people, in another firm, to whom I sent my book. She wrote:

Many thanks for your book and kind note. I have actually attended a talk previously from you and thought you were great. I believe it was during covid times.
I am just in the middle of some urgent work, but I promise to be in touch.

So thats nice. I won’t keep on sending you updates. Let’s just hope there’s more like this to come.

And I wish the same for you.
