"Hunger Strike, Whitehall"

This is Richard Ratcliffe, husband of Nazanin, being interviewed outside the Foreign Office, on the 19th day of his hunger strike.

I wrote about visiting him in the November issue of my Everyday Writing newsletter – an attempt to witness the desperation that would make a husband go on hunger strike.

With the generous support of ADEQUATE PROJECTS members, newsletter subscribers and social media followers, I was able to print hundreds of postcards of the drawings I made; and then make a little magazine, containing the combined text and images.

The idea was / is to grab the attention of MPs who are probably used to receiving drab emails.

You can download a one-page PDF of the story I wrote, to send to your MP.

If you want postcard(s), email my office.

Thank you to all who paid for the postcards to be printed, and to C.S. for additionally providing me with oodles of postage stamps.
