Special issue, for people who bought a copy of A Speccy Man Has a Breakdown

Hello

Just wanted to let you know that I sent out a large number of books in the last couple of (terribly hot) days. Sorry it’s taken such a long time, what with all the shenanigans.

If you are among the first people who ordered, the book should be with you soon.

If you ordered more recently: thank you for your patience.

What could possibly make a person slow to send out copies of a book about a time that was difficult, including his admission to psychiatric hospital, I wonder.

If you do get your hands on the book, and if you find it worth talking about, I’d be glad to hear more precisely what you think about it.

This might help me to spread the word, and shift the remaining copies, because I really don’t want to clutter my office with heaps of books about psychiatric hospitals stacked in the corner looking at me.

Two men who write brilliantly about depression and self-helpy things have been in contact: Tim Lott, author of The Scent of Dried Roses, talked with me about Being A Person On Medication, and it was great to catch again with Oliver Burkeman, author of Four Thousand Weeks.
