A petition for small businesses selling into and across the EU:
It is now easier, cheaper and less bureaucratic for an independent artist to ship a parcel across the globe than to send a letter to their neighbour within the European Union.
New rules on disposing of packaging materials require complex and expensive bureaucracy – in each EU country.
These affect businesses within the EU, but also any business around the world that sells to buyers in the EU.
For me, it’s instantly become unaffordable to send art prints to any EU country, or even a signed copy of one of my books.
I don’t want to turn my back in Europe / have the door slammed in my face. But what can I do?
