Without whom

Ryan Turpin's book Wild Enough in hands of JPF.

Hurrah! Look what just arrived in the post. Ryan’s book!

I’m so pleased to see Wild Enough: The Subtle Trade-offs of Modern Living, and to note in passing the lovely paper, the elegance of the typography, the copious notes at the back, and the brilliant choice of a cover image.

I have not read it all – not by a long way – but wanted to post this immediately, in hope to be one of the first to post about the book.

Naturally delighted to find that I get a credit (thank you, Ryan) and to see it is balanced by a credit to the person who really matters:

Credit on facing next page of Wild Enough, 'Eternal gratitude to my wife, without whom I _know_ I would not have finished this book.'

Credit in back of Ryan Turpin's book Wild Enough, 'Thanks to John-Paul Flintoff, without whom I doubt I would have finished this book.'
