Yesterday I bought a paper shredder from Ryman, and gave them back the broken one I bought a couple of years ago, for the kind of disposal that can be described as vaguely eco.
Back home with my new toy, I opened the box, and took out loads of polystyrene packaging.
Then I plugged it in, and started to shred. As I went along, I put the confetti-like remnants into the box the shredder had come in. And it suddenly dawned on me how much more elegant it might have been if Rexel, the manufacturer, had used shredded paper as packaging rather than polystyrene.
Hm. Perhaps I will suggest it.
