Went to the Nova festival exhibition. It was incredibly sad and upsetting.
Not just because of the exhibition itself, which detailed the horrifying events of 7 October 2023, but also because just getting in required visitors to go through significant security checks.
My late friend the journalist Rachael Cooke wrote in the New Statesman about the related film, We Will Dance Again:
“It will destroy you; sleep was impossible for me afterwards. But it is an astonishing thing, almost beyond description. It is like the Book of Exodus. Someone says it, but I’m already thinking it.”
I wish more people would go to see it.
