Exclusive: Portrait of an Interesting Person In Her Office / 3
The stories on the previous pages were first published as email newsletters. They provoked one reader to reply:
“Am enjoying this – what a fun idea. I think I know who it is but I might well be proved wrong!”
To which I instantly replied: “Ah thank you for saying so! I confess I haven’t done an absolutely brilliant job of concealing her identity.”
There was a short pause.

.
And then my correspondent came back to me with this:
“Well I think you might well have done as the person I thought it was doesn’t seem to have written any books! I just checked on Amazon. So I’m back to being mystified and intrigued which is what you no doubt intended!”
Well, yes, sort of
I do like creating a bit of mystery to keep people reading.
But honestly I hid the identity of my portrait subject because I’m sharing with you something exclusive. It’s work in progress.
I don’t mind sharing my own work in progress, even or especially when it’s not very impressive, but I’m always aware that if there’s another person involved – well, they may not like it.
All that being said, I sent what I’ve shared with you to the woman herself and at 10.43 this morning Mary Ann Sieghart replied:
“Hi JP. I’m very happy for you to name me.”
