You worry about books not turning up by the day of your launch. You go downstairs for a cup of coffee (in beautiful mugs, cor look at those!) and then the doorbell rings and it's a box full of your books and then you go on Periscope and right that minute one of the people who crowd-funded it, who made the whole thing possible – Trisha – happens to join you online.
Over the course of the day, you have lots of funny, encouraging video conference calls, with people all over the place.
People you know – and who turn out to know each other, like Sophie Howarth of the Department Store for the Mind, and Mark Williamson of Action for Happiness – send you funny encouraging videos.
At least, that's what happened to me. It turned out much better than I ever expected. I felt connected to people in a way that has never happened before. And not only on social media. Half-way through the day I got this lovely card from a thoughtful friend.
Thank you everybody. x
