I had already been introduced to people who run a hospice, and told them that I would be glad to work with them in some way.
Then I had a chat with somebody in the Whizzy Group I run, and it prompted me to send the following email to the hospice:

Hello again. I hope all’s well.
I thought I should let you know that a musician friend does cello sessions in care homes and hospices, and I’m planning to shadow her on one such trip, to draw it and write about it.
It occurred to me when speaking to her this morning that this might conceivably be something for you…
A reminder: here’s a different project I sketched/wrote up.
Best wishes
John-Paul
A few days later, I received this reply.

Hi there John-Paul,
So sorry for the delayed response – I’ve been out of the office in meetings throughout the week, so just catching up with things.
I’d love to hear about the cello work and how this could translate into an environment with children – we are always open to creating new experiences for the children and young people we care for – music and sound is a hugely important part of this.
Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know how you get on with this project, and if it’s something we should meet up to discuss?
Thanks again for keeping us in mind,
Best wishes,
xxxxxx
Update 12 May 2022
We had a meeting on Zoom, to talk about the event we are doing in mid-June.
I’ll post more when there’s more to post.
