I’m making a habit of live-streaming on Youtube. On Mondays, I’m live-streaming the process of drawing something.
This week I drew the flower stall in Hampstead. It was a grey day, but the flowers stood out.
I took some photos, came home and made them into a collage, then loosely copied that on my iPad, using the fantastic Procreate app.
I hadn’t particularly planned to draw tons of roses, but on the eve of Valentine’s Day, that’s what the florist was selling.
I’m embedding the video here to give a sense of what it might be like to join me on one of these livestreams. I’m happy doing it alone, but company is always welcome.
You can find upcoming livestreams here, on my YouTube channel.

Update: June 2023
I recently heard that Dave, the florist at the centre of the picture, died soon after I drew this.
I’m really sorry to hear that, and send my heartfelt condolences to Lulu.
