This imagined diagram of my brain was sketched during a spell in psychiatric hospital in 2018.
It was prompted by a therapist explaining that, if we are not enjoying the bleak neural pathways that our thoughts keep rolling through, we can always create new ones.
For those who have not come across the idiom previously: “Black Dog” is a term used to describe depression. I was trying to work out how to create pathways that skirted around this.
