Off Hermitage Lane, Childs Hill

Early evening, mid-June. I stood on the corner of the road leading into the estate and sketched with thick coloured pens onto A5 paper. A few people walked past: one stood nearby to wait for a minicab, another went down the hill towards the supermarket. None of them looked at what I was doing.

None of them looked at what I was doing. The only people who paid any attention were drivers coming into the estate, but I suspect they were just looking to see if I was about to cross.

I went home, photographed the physical sketch and continued working on it using my iPad.
