Art Sale at Hampstead Parish Church

I got to the church later than planned, and all the tables had been taken.

So I set up on a bench – not entirely a bad thing, as it turns out, because I was able to sit down. I drew a picture of the scene before me.

I’d originally intended to draw the stalls and the people too, but got a bit distracted – happily – by people wanting to talk about my pictures.

So, as you see, I only got as far as drawing the background. This video shows the process of the drawing:

Somehow I just know you are dying to hear how I got all my artworks to and from the church. Answer: I transported it in carrier bags and hard plastic art portfolios.

Preparing to get on the 139 bus.

Did Actually Sell, Too

I should probably try to sound cool about this, but must say I still find it very satisfying when people like a piece of work so much they want to possess it.

The pictures I sold to these magnificent connoisseurs included a framed pair of my recent Easter Vigil pictures.
